Wellspring
Naturopathic Clinic was founded by Thomas Stowell, N.D. in 1978. The clinic was unique at the time, because it offered something
vitually unheard of in the midwest - a wholistic family practice. Services such as homeopathy, acupuncture, botanical medicine,
spinal manipulation, natural prenatal care and home birthing services, massage therapy, and nutritional counseling were offered
by Dr. Stowell and the other naturopathic doctors who joined him.
One of those who joined him in 1984 was Helen
Healy, N.D. She offered insights into the importance of diet and exercise for all of her patients, but was especially concerned
about the health advice her female patients were not receiving from their regular health care practitioners.
Sadly,
Tom passed away in 1994. Helen Healy took over the clinic and caring for Tom's patients. Tom Stowell's spirit and passionate
commitment to health and healing remains with Wellspring.
Today, thirty years since its inception, Dr.
Healy and Wellspring Clinic still offer a myriad of natural health options.
